Everyone has the potential to be a leader. However, this cannot be accomplished overnight. It requires perseverance, and you absolutely cannot ignore the Law of Process. Leadership develops daily, not in a day. Do not be fooled by the illusion of overnight success. Invest in the process, and reap the rewards.
Stand out from the rest by: Working and developing the aforementioned leadership skills
Make sure that you’re authentic during the interview and even your tenure
Refrain from having favorites and playing favorites. There should be a distinct and fine line between you and the rest of your employees.

The way I love to start a discussion about leadership is by saying “Leadership Development doesn’t work”. This is indeed surprising as this what I am passionate about and have invested a lot of time in training.
